Up River Hauling is a small, family‑run hauling service created by two Maple Falls locals who genuinely care about the place we call home. As a husband-and-wife team, we started this business after seeing the same thing everyone else in the Foothills sees — trash piling up on roadsides, folks burning stuff they shouldn't, neighbors venting their frustration on Facebook,

and no affordable nearby solution for people who just need junk gone.

We live here. We work here. And we want our community to stay clean, welcoming,

and taken care of. By offering a local, low‑cost curbside pick-up, trailer drop‑off,

and hauling service, we’re giving folks an easier way to handle cleanup without long drives,

high fees, or waiting on big companies from Bellingham.

We’re committed to making sure cost never becomes a barrier to a cleaner home

or neighborhood. We’re actively partnering with local businesses, community groups,

and neighbors to provide free trailer access for residents who truly can’t afford hauling services. Everyone deserves a clean, safe space — and we’re here to help make that possible.

We also currently own and operate Glimpse Piercing Boutique in Bellingham. We are bringing that same level of professionalism, reliability, and community‑minded service to Up River Hauling.

The Hub of Whatcom is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides housing support for

adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

In Washington State, for every housing unit available, there are 20 people waiting. 

In Whatcom County, that number jumps to 41 people waiting for every single available unit.

The Hub is dedicated to increasing state-of-the-art community housing for adults with IDD

their property, keeping our roadsides clear, or supporting IDD housing through The Hub,

every job we take is another step toward a cleaner, stronger, more connected community.
